On Thanksgiving Day, the Muncie Mission hosts an annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner. We serve a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. We invite you to come join us at 1725 S. Liberty St. as we join together in thankful celebration of our many blessings! Our time for giving thanks begins at 11:30am in the chapel with the feast being served at noon. Come join us!
At the same time that meals are being served in the Mission dining room, hundreds of meals are being delivered to homebound persons referred by LifeStream Services and Meals on Wheels.
Last year over 150 traditional Thanksgiving dinners with all of the trimmings were served by staff and volunteers and over 200 meals were delivered by volunteers around the county to those home-bound. We expect the demands for assistance to be even greater this year with the condition of the economy, people are really hurting.
It takes many volunteers to make this event a success. If you would like to be part of this amazing volunteer crew, please contact Missy at (765) 288-9122, ext. 225 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
