  Enjoying a great meal!

Food

The mission served over 71,000 meals in 2006.  Our kitchen stays very busy and we couldn't do it without you.

Our residents really appreciate your "garden gifts." There's nothing better than fresh produce. They also enjoy home baked goods. We thank so many of you for remembering us with homemade pies, cakes, cookies, brownies and other goodies.

If you are planning to purchase food to donate or organize a food drive, please bring #10 size cans and other items in bulk, if possible; these sizes make our job a little easier as we will not need to open so many of the regular size.

Items we always need include:            A family donates food

  • Coffee
  • Tea bags
  • Kool Aid
  • Juice
  • Flour
  • Sugar (brown and white)
  • Breakfast sausage
  • Dry cereal
  • Oats
  • Peanut butter
  • Macaroni
  • Spaghetti noodles
  • Dish soap
  • Bleach

Food Donation Kudos go out to ... Peaceful Valley Church of Union City, IN. for the very generous donation of food and cleaning supplies brought to the mission on October 3, 2007. This congregation is small in numbers but God has used them in a mighty way. Not too long after the mission was blessed by a previous donation from this same congregation, did God begin to work in them again. Another collection began which resulted in a wonderful assortment of food and cleaning supplies.
Our God is more than able to supply all our needs and we are thankful that the Peaceful Valley Church has been willing to be used by Him in this way.
