"Thank you so much for letting me come and be a part of what you do. I think the Muncie Mission is the greatest place."
Wish List Sponsors
We want Christmas at the Muncie Mission to be a special time for the men living here. After all, this isn't a commercial holiday, this is the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
On Christmas Eve, our residents and staff will celebrate Christ's birth with a special party. Each man will receive personal gifts purchased for him by concerned people in the community. The evening ends with a wonderful meal and delicious holiday desserts.
The personal gifts come from those who sign up to be Wish List Sponsors. In November, each resident fills out a "Christmas Wish List" naming three gifts he would like to have for Christmas. Each gift is around $15. Then special individuals, families churches or organizations sponsor one of the residents, making a commitment to buy the gifts on the list. Then they wrap the gifts (not forgetting the ribbons and bows!) and deliver them to the Mission by December 14. If you want to sponsor a Mission resident for Christmas, contact Paula at 288-9122 ext.223 or munciemiss@aol.com.
Gifts for Women and Children
There are many women and children that come to the Mission for family assistance. For these families, it is a struggle to meet life's daily needs of food, clothing and shelter. This Christmas the Mission wants to give these families gifts of daily living.
