Dear Friends, 

Every night of the year, regardless of the season or the weather, dozens of people in our community will pass through the doors of Muncie Mission Ministries. The faces are probably not ones you would recognize or know but they also are not likely what you would expect from someone who comes to the Mission. They are not the stereotypical street dwellers and career panhandlers who have sadly become the de facto icon for homelessness.

The faces of Muncie's homeless might well be the faces at your neighborhood block party. People you might see taking out their garbage, not picking through it. But for countless reasons, they are, at this moment, in desperate need of rescue. This is where Muncie Mission Ministries meets these souls at their point of need.

Muncie Mission is profoundly Christian and relentlessly cares for those who are the broken of our society - the destitute and ruined. We spread our faith and provide the basic necessities of life: shelter, food for the body and soul, and guidance toward solutions of self-reliance. And as the number of people in need of our services inevitably increases, so too does our resolve to fulfill our vision of a brighter tomorrow for each person who comes to our door.
