The Muncie Mission is a very wonderful place and it is a privilege to work here doing "Frontline Ministry". I am blessed to be able to work, pray, advise, instruct, and build relationships with the men who live at "the Mission". My name is John Clark and I am the Kitchen Supervisor, responsible for feeding the residents of the Muncie Mission 3 meals a day, 7 days a week.
We also provide a free lunch that is open to the public, Mon. - Fri. at 12:30pm. This allows me the chance to not only feed everyone physically, but also spiritually, as I share scripture and speak on God's Word for a few minutes every day. I then ask for prayer requests and we all pray and ask a blessing for the meal. I would describe our free lunch program as "church where you get full", both spiritually and physically. As our guests are enjoying a hot, delicious meal, I have the privilege to sit with them and build relationships, learning their names and about their lives.
If I were to sum up what was going on through the lunch program at ‘the Muncie Mission’ it would be this: God is changing lives - not only at "the Mission", but throughout the community .
