January Edition of the Muncie Mission Volunteer Newsletter

I trust your 2012 has gotten off to a terrific start.  The weather was certainly "non-winter-like" for the beginning of January.  That 50 degrees was nice!  (Big clue that Ray has nothing to do with these newsletters as he loves winter and the snow.)

Christmas is behind us, the decorations are down, but I can't miss the opportunity to again say "Thank you" to all of the folks who played a part in the holidays here at the Mission.  The residents had a wonderful week (plus) of festivities mostly made possible by volunteers like you.  Thanks so much.

We quickly move on to the 8th Annual Walk a Mile event.  I'm sure you have seen a banner or brochure by now.  You should be getting your team together, gathering sponsors, helping us raise awareness to the plight of the homeless and needy in these cold, winter months.

We have a special Facebook page for WAM info, be sure to check that out and post your own pix and ideas.  There are still people in Muncie who don't know what WAM is.  Help us get the word out.  Teaser alert:  the shirts are awesome this year!  You will want one!  See you there.
