Walk-a-Mile

What a turn out!!!!
We thought last year’s turnout was huge; an attendance record was set!  This year’s attendance broke that record….an estimated 2, 500 people took part in the 8th annual walk.

Even though it was very cold, the roads were clear and the wind wasn’t a major factor.  What a site to see……thousands of people walking down the city streets all united and focused on the cause of serving those in need. To add to that, the Muncie Fire Firefighters brought a fire truck this year to lead the walk.  Following close behind were the firefighters and their families, Mayor Tyler, a retired firefighter, also joined his fellow firefighters.

We are excited to announce that $68,000 was raised.  What a testimonial to the businesses, churches, teams and individuals that helped reach this figure.  We are so blessed to live in a community that cares so much about those in need.

If you haven’t been able to turn in your funds yet, please don’t hesitate.  Bring or mail them to the Muncie Mission, administration office, 1725 S. Liberty St.

If you were a sponsor, walker or a volunteer please accept our sincere appreciation, you helped make this a huge success.  We couldn’t make this event so successful without all of you.

Thank you for assisting the Mission with building hope….hope for a better tomorrow.  A tomorrow that offers opportunity for a different lifestyle, a second chance….a dawning of a new day.   Our services are critical….critical to the point of saving lives.

Thanks for being part of it.
