It starts with Black Friday, moves on to Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. These are all very busy day of getting things for ourselves, family and friends. Finally, after all that getting there is a day of giving called #GivingTuesday. Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving that brings nonprofits, donors, businesses, and communities together to celebrate generosity and the impact of giving back.
Why give to Muncie Mission on #GivingTuesday?
For many of its 88 years, the Mission has been serving families and individuals through our Family Service Department. In 2017 over 76,129 food items (fresh produce and shelf stable) were provided to families in need of food assistance. Keeping our food pantry stocked is a constant challenge.
When you donate on this #GivingTuesday, your donation goes to provide the much needed food supplies that so many of our neighbors need all through the year.
After you make a #GivingTuesday donation you can share with your social network what you have done and then challenge them to match your donation. You can be the first in a long chain of giving that has a lasting impact in the lives of so many in our local community.
