Thank you, Missy. I think my students learned a lot from the experience. I know that I enjoyed it and learned from it.Your staff were all so welcoming!  My students were impressed by the resources and environment you all have established for those you serve. They also became more aware of the challenges some of the students may face when their parents are addicted to drugs.   I'm grateful there are people like you all at the Mission fighting hard to help those that need it most.

Items Needed/Accepted:

  • Clothing - all sizes: men's, women's & children's
  • Accessories - e.g. purses, belts, scarves, jewelry
  • Shoes
  • Coats/Jackets
  • Beds & mattresses, all sizes
  • Furniture (in good condition)
  • Working and non-working large appliances - Due to environmental considerations and cost to the Mission, refrigerators must be plugged in and operational at the time of pick up.
  • Household items - e.g. housewares, glassware, art work
  • Small household appliances
  • Electronics, computers, DVD players, working TV's, radios
  • Mowers
  • Bikes
  • Tools
  • Cars/Trucks/Motorcycles
  • Boats/RV's
  • And more

The Muncie Mission CANNOT accept:

  • Chest freezers - non working
  • Console TVs or Stereo systems
  • Dishwashers
  • Furniture - ripped or torn
  • Glass or wood storm windows
  • Mattresses with excessive stains and/or wear
  • Old style microwaves
  • Organs or pianos
  • Round shouldered refrigerators or freezers
  • Water softeners
  • Water beds

Home Pick-up
Due to rising fuel costs and the need to use all of our resources responsibly, the Muncie Mission schedules home pick-ups according to areas. For those items that are too heavy or bulky for you to bring to one of our drop off centers, please call 288-9122, ext 442 to enter your name on this pick-up schedule.
