THANKSGIVING AT THE MISSION

On Thanksgiving Day, the Muncie Mission hosts an annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner. We serve a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. We invite you to come join us at 1725 S. Liberty St. as we join together in thankful celebration of our many blessings! Thanksgiving at the Mission begins at 11:30 am.

At the same time that meals are being served in the Mission dining room, Thanksgiving at the Mission includes hundreds of meals that will be delivered to home-bound persons referred by LifeStream Services and Meals on Wheels.

Last year over 150 traditional Thanksgiving dinners with all of the trimmings were served by staff and volunteers and over 370 meals were delivered by volunteers around the county to those home-bound. We expect the demands for assistance to be even greater this year with the condition of the economy, people are really hurting.

Thanksgiving at the Mission is an exciting community event. It takes many volunteers to make this special day a success. If you would like to be part of this amazing volunteer crew, please contact Leigh at (765) 288-9122, ext. 109 or ledwards@munciemission.org.
