FAMILY SERVICES

Family Services extends a helping hand to families in both Delaware and Blackford Counties. Donations of clothing, furniture, and food allow us to provide these items free to those who cannot afford them, and we can also give limited assistance with current financial needs.

Services available to low-income families include:

  • food pantry available twice each month
  • vouchers for clothing once every three months
  • household items and hygiene products
  • limited emergency funds for utility bills once every twelve months

For Assistance in Delaware County

Come see us at 1725 S. Liberty Street on Tuesday or Thursday at 8:30 am. We are able to take a maximum of 15 households, and the final one will be seen at 10:30.

Each applicant for financial assistance must have a current application with his or her local Trustees Office before applying with Muncie Mission. The Center Township (Muncie) Trustees Office is located at 1200 E. Main Street. Their phone number is (765) 288-8876.

In order to receive assistance, we ask the families to provide:

  1. Photo ID for ALL adults (19+)
  2. ID for children up to 18 years old living in the household (birth certificate)
  3. Proof of residence (copy of lease or a utility bill)
  4. Proof of income, if there is any

For Assistance in Blackford County (Hartford City)

Each applicant for financial assistance must have a current application with his or her local Trustees Office before applying with Muncie Mission. The Hartford City-Licking Township Trustees Office is located at 204 W. Main Street in Hartford City.
