How would you best describe the work your organization does?
At the Muncie Mission, it is our goal to provide compassionate relief that leads to lifetime transformation. This is achieved through our services, which include:
• Men’s Emergency Shelter, a 100 bed shelter for men
• Beauty for Ashes, shelter designated for women and children
• Addictions Recovery, free, long-term residential men’s addition recovery program
• Medical Clinic, free medical clinic for the under and uninsured
• Family Services, bi-weekly food and clothing pantry, utility assistance and connection to community support
• Muncie Hub, multi-agency, daytime service center for persons experiencing homelessness
• Attic Window Thrift Stores, offers affordable clothing and houseware to community while providing resources for our programs
What audience does your organization commonly serve?
Our organization serves men, women and children facing the greatest need.
How would you describe your organization’s partnership with I&M?
I&M has made a significant impact on the Muncie Mission. In the recent year, I&M generously funded two commercial box trucks. These vehicles have played a crucial role in bolstering our operational capabilities, enabling us to effectively support our retail operations, provide moving assistance to transition clients to permanent housing and efficiently pick up valuable donations.
In what ways have you worked with I&M during this partnership?
The Muncie Mission has worked alongside I&M during the holiday season. They have demonstrated a deep commitment to our community’s welfare by providing financial support for Muncie Mission’s Annual Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. These events provide a delicious meal to around 800 and 1,000 community members in need each holiday season.
